Fault Line Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 22, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how KSM Technologies LLC (operating as KSM Operations Group) collects, uses, and safeguards information in connection with the Fault Line mobile game ("Fault Line," the "App") distributed through Google Play.

1. Introduction

Fault Line is an Android mobile puzzle game published by KSM Technologies LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company doing business as KSM Operations Group ("KSM," "we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the limited information processed when you install, launch, or play Fault Line.

This Privacy Policy applies solely to the Fault Line mobile application available through the Google Play Store. It does not apply to other products, websites, or services we operate, which are governed by their own privacy notices. By downloading, accessing, or using Fault Line, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Fault Line is designed to minimize the personal information it handles directly. We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or other contact details to play the game. The categories of information that may be collected through the App or its integrated service providers include:

  • Device information - device model, manufacturer, language, region, and general hardware characteristics.
  • Operating system version - the Android OS version running on your device.
  • App version - the installed version of Fault Line, used for diagnostics and update support.
  • Advertising identifiers - your Android Advertising ID (AAID) or equivalent resettable identifier, used by advertising and analytics providers.
  • Gameplay statistics - non-identifying gameplay events such as levels started, completed, time spent, and progression milestones.
  • Crash reports - automated reports describing software exceptions and the state of the App at the moment of a crash.
  • Performance diagnostics - load times, frame rates, memory usage, and similar metrics used to improve stability.
  • Purchase transaction information - confirmations and receipts for in-app purchases processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your full payment card data.
  • Anonymous analytics data - aggregated usage patterns that do not identify you individually.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Improve gameplay experience and overall product quality.
  • Monitor application performance and stability.
  • Diagnose and fix bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues.
  • Deliver advertisements, including personalized or contextual advertising where permitted.
  • Process in-app purchases and validate entitlements.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, cheating, fraud, and security incidents.
  • Analyze game balance, difficulty curves, and player engagement to inform future updates.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the information collected through Fault Line for any purpose inconsistent with this Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising and AdMob

Fault Line may display advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob and its advertising partners may use advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, and limited usage signals to deliver, measure, and improve advertising. Ads may be contextual (based on the App) or personalized (based on inferred interests), subject to your consent and device settings.

Google's use of advertising data is governed by the Google Ads Privacy Policy. You can limit ad personalization on Android by opening Settings → Google → Ads and enabling "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization." These controls are provided by Android and Google, not by Fault Line.

5. Analytics and Firebase Services

Fault Line uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics, both provided by Google, to understand how players use the App and to identify and fix stability issues.

  • Firebase Analytics collects anonymous event and usage data, including session counts, screen views, gameplay events, device characteristics, and approximate region.
  • Firebase Crashlytics collects crash stack traces, device state at the time of a crash, App version, OS version, and a randomly generated installation UUID used to group related crash reports.

Firebase services are governed by the Firebase Privacy and Security policy.

6. In-App Purchases

Fault Line may offer optional in-app purchases processed exclusively through Google Play Billing. When you make a purchase, your payment is handled by Google under your Google account and the terms of the Google Play Store. We receive a confirmation of the transaction (such as product ID, order identifier, and purchase state) for the purpose of granting the corresponding in-game content, supporting refunds, and preventing fraud.

We do not collect or store your credit card number, bank account details, or other payment instrument data. Billing inquiries related to charges should be directed to Google Play support through your Google account.

7. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as necessary to operate Fault Line, deliver the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and comply with our legal and accounting obligations. Aggregated and anonymized analytics may be retained for longer periods because they do not identify any individual user. Crash reports and diagnostic data are retained according to the default retention windows configured in Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information processed in connection with Fault Line, including encryption in transit for network communications with Google services. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your device, Google account, and any authentication credentials secure.

9. Third-Party Services

Fault Line relies on the following third-party services, each of which may independently collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or availability of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they handle your information. Standard limitations apply: these providers operate independently and we have no control over the data they collect directly from your device beyond what is necessary for their services to function within Fault Line.

10. Children's Privacy

Fault Line is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information through Fault Line, please contact us at the address below and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information from our systems and instruct our service providers to do the same to the extent required by applicable law.

11. International Users

Fault Line is operated from the United States. If you access or use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers maintain facilities. The data protection laws of these jurisdictions may differ from those of your country of residence. By using Fault Line, you consent to such transfer and processing consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

12. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing, and the right to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

  • Limit advertising tracking: open Settings → Google → Ads on your Android device to reset or delete your advertising ID and opt out of personalized advertising.
  • Uninstall the App: you may uninstall Fault Line at any time through the Google Play Store, which will stop further collection of information by the App on your device.
  • Contact us: to exercise any of your rights or ask questions about how your information is processed, email us at the address below.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the App, our service providers, or applicable law. The most current version will always be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Material changes will be highlighted within the App or on this page. Your continued use of Fault Line after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
